Just another summer afternoon view from a popular overlook near Asheville. The mountains in this scene lie in a generally northeast direction, toward the highest portions of the parkway and the remote Craggy Mountains.
This overlook is also a favorite spot for astronomy enthusiasts, as it has a nice east view, with relatively little light pollution.
